FAQ
Is the ticketing different this year?
Yes! In order to better facilitate the large numbers of travelers we expect this year, we now offer an opportunity to reserve your place in line by registering for tickets online. Walk-ins are welcome. But they can expect a longer wait time.
Do I come at the exact time I reserved my tickets for?
If you come then, you will actually be late. In order to accommodate parking, time to pick up your tickets and any other special needs, please come 30 minutes before your ticket time.
Can you guarantee my ticket time?
The time you registered for is not an exact tour time. By reserving online, we do guarantee your wait time will be shortened significantly.
How many people can register in a group?
Groups are limited to 20.
Do I need to get tickets for my children?
Yes, if they are walking or in a stroller. An infant that is carried would not need a ticket.
How much does it cost?
It is free! This is a free gift of the Auburn Adventist Academy Church and community members.
May I make a donation?
You certainly may. At the end of the Journey, you will have an opportunity to make a financial donation to make sure the program can continue in the future. There will also be a chance to give to the community food bank. We have had a long-standing commitment to giving back to the community.
How can I be involved?
There are several ways to be involved. Donations are always appreciated. But if you would like to be a part of the musical performances or acting, please contact the church office at 253-833-5853 for more information.
Do I have to register for tickets online?
You do not have to request your ticket online. Tickets will be available for walk-ins. However, you will have a much shorter wait if you do. By ordering your tickets you reserve your place in line. Although you will have some waiting time even with tickets, that time will be greatly reduced.
Where does the Journey begin?
The Journey begins in the Auburn Adventist Academy gymnasium. Everyone needs to go there first to pick up their tickets. Save yourself some time by going to the gym first, not the church.
Where do I park?
There will be signs directing traffic through the academy campus to a large parking area. If you try to park somewhere along the way, you will miss the signs leading you to the place you pick up your tickets.
How much time will it take?
The Journey takes approximately 45 minutes once you leave the church. But you should allow for up to 2 hours of your evening for the entire experience.
How far will I have to walk?
Once your Journey begins, you will be on your feet for about 45 minutes. Wear warm, comfortable shoes. A few wheelchairs are available upon request. However, in order to assure you have one if needed, we suggest that you bring your own.
What accommodations are made for handicapped individuals?
Journey to Bethlehem is wheelchair accessible. Those with a handicap can be taken directly to the church. Those driving may park in the lot directly across from the church. Someone from your group will still need to go to the gym to get your tickets.
Will the program be canceled for rain?
To this point the program has never been canceled. If it is lightly raining, bring your umbrella. If there is severe weather, cancellations will be posted on this website.
What is there to do while I wait?
We’ve planned a beautiful live, music concert in the church and gymnasium. New this year will be child-friendly crafts and picture taking opportunities to enhance your experience.
